Megan joins the Whitney/Strong team after being connected with Whitney for many years through education, advocacy, and community work. She has brought suicide prevention expertise to several Whitney/Strong events and press conferences, emphasizing that reducing suicide and reducing gun violence go hand in hand.

Megan continued to work directly with volunteers by developing a national strategy to recruit, onboard, and develop volunteers in strategic markets.
Before moving to the nonprofit world, Megan received her bachelor's degree in health sciences and master's degree in occupational therapy from Spalding University in Louisville. As an Occupational Therapist, Megan specialized in mental health and acquired brain injury settings.
